Digital Citizenship Program

OTRAS NOVEDADES

Starts October 17. UTEC launches the first edition of its Digital Citizenship Program

The first edition of the program, which will take place online during 8 weeks, aims at the development of digital skills in the current digital world.

As part of its Digital Transformation Policy, designed by the Digital Transformation Center, UTEC launched the Digital Citizenship Program, which aims to contribute to the development of people in the digital world so that they can grow in confidence through the integration of the digital capacities necessary for the current educational and professional landscapes.

This first edition will be offered in a virtual environment through the EDU platform, as asynchronous and self-directed classes, targeting both UTEC and non-UTEC students interested in a deep understanding of the digital world. The program will take place during 8 weeks and demands an approximate dedication of 12 weekly hours. Apart from its 5 subject units, students need to elaborate a final project using the tools acquired in the Decentraland metaverse.

Once the program is completed, participants are expected to have developed skills in techno-pedagogy and educational empowerment, digital alphabetization, digital citizenship, inclusion and digital wellness. Participants that successfully complete the training will receive a certificate issued by the University.

The Digital Citizenship Program begins on October 17 and applications will be open until October 14 through this form.
